Cancellation policy

We are a small atelier specializing in focused, small-group courses. Because of our limited class sizes, we are unable to offer standard refunds unless we need to cancel a course on our end.

Nevertheless, we know that investing in a course takes real effort and commitment, and we want to make sure that effort truly counts. With that in mind, we have put together the following options in case you can no longer attend your course:

14 or more days before the course starts If you notify us via email at least 14 days prior to the start date, you may choose one of the following:

• Transfer to a Friend: You can transfer your class to a friend or family member at no cost. You must provide us with the name and contact information of the person taking your place.

• Waitlist Fill: We can attempt to find someone to take your spot. If we are successful, we will refund your course fee minus a $25 administrative fee. Please note this is not guaranteed, and we will only do this with your written approval.

• Studio Credit: You can opt to receive a gift card equivalent to 75% of your payment. There is no expiration date for this credit.

13 to 6 days before the course starts If you notify us via email within this window, you may choose one of the following:

• Transfer to a Friend: You can transfer your class to a friend or family member, providing us with their contact details.

• Waitlist Fill: We can attempt to find someone to take your spot. If successful, we will refund your course fee minus a $25 administrative fee. This is not guaranteed and requires your written approval.

• Studio Credit: You can opt to receive a gift card equivalent to 50% of your payment. There is no expiration date for this credit.

5 days or less before the course starts

• Transfer to a Friend: You can transfer your class to a friend or family member. Please notify us of who will be taking your place.

Missed Classes

• Course Absences: Because our courses are progressive and studio space is limited, we cannot offer make-up sessions or partial refunds for individual classes missed during a course. However, your instructor will do their best to help you catch up on missed techniques during your next scheduled class.

Studio Cancellations

• Unexpected Closures: In the rare event that Atelier Ceramikerie must cancel a class or Open Studio session due to severe weather, instructor illness, or an emergency, we will notify you as promptly as possible.

• Make-up Dates: We will provide a scheduled make-up date for the canceled session. If you are unable to attend the provided make-up date, you will receive a prorated studio credit or refund for that specific session. If we must cancel an entire course before it begins, you will receive a full refund.

We understand that life can sometimes bring unforeseen and unavoidable events. In truly exceptional situations, we may, at our discretion, allow you to transfer your enrrollment to a future course if space permits. Please note that this is a courtesy handled on a case-by-case basis and is not a guaranteed right.
